I got a bfp last night, but last week blood test was negative?

but last thurs...i got a faint positive hpt,...then the same day i got a blood test and it was negative. but just last night,...i got a positive, only this time it wasn't faint,it was bright and very visible...why was the blood test negative and last night the hpt positive?
