I need a good comeback to people who think space exploration/Nasa is a waste of money.?

We as a species spend much more money on ways to kill each other than on space research. If we reversed those budgets, maybe we would find out how fragile we are as a species and how fragile our planet is. Then maybe our world leaders would allow peace on Earth.
