Can being a game tester make a decent career?

Im curious because i been thinking about getting a job in the game industry but im not really good at anything other then playing games. From what i read about it, this job sounds both tedious and fun to me, and im willing to put in hard hours as long as the pay is worth it. Also, will having a college degree help?
