Should i have got upset or not?

me and my boyfriend were walkin down the hall at school and his friend comes up to him and says " dude you gotta see what taylor just pulled out of his nose" and pulls him into the bathroom... and i was like "hey" (not as in saying hi) because i didnt wana sit outside the boys bathroom and wait . and his friend tells me "silence". i got mad because i dont care if u are joking or not his friend shouldnt tell me to be quiet, that is vry disrespetful. so should i have gotten mad or not?
